About the Macrobiotic Online Course
In this first of its kind course combining video, audio, print and live interaction, students will have the opportunity to study all facets of macrobiotics with Edward Esko, long time associate of Michio Kushi and Founder of the International Macrobiotic Institute (IMI.) The Macrobiotic Online Course is designed to enable students to gain ongoing benefit from their daily practice of macrobiotics while developing the knowledge and skill to guide and counsel others toward health and happiness. The Online Course is divided into three 12-week courses:
Course One: Core Macrobiotic Studies
Course Two: Foundations of Healing
Course Three: Advanced Applications of Healing
Course One and Two are open to everyone. Course Three is open only to graduates of Course One or Course Two.
Course Two: Foundations of Healing/12 Weeks
In Course Two, students will gain a thorough understanding of the cycles of nature as they govern health and healing. Using the traditional understanding of the five transformations, or cycles of energy found throughout nature, the Course explores each of the body’s main organ-systems, with studies of form, function, symptoms and remedies, including special foods, teas, and preparations. Studies of meridians and other methods of diagnosis are included.
